Estrellas Brillantes - Terms & Conditions (updated April 2023)

• Children are expected to behave in a kind and respectful manner towards everyone, before, during and after class, and bad language and disruptive behaviour will not be accepted at any time.

• Parents should aim to drop their child off on time for the start of class to ensure that they do not miss anything, and to be prompt for collection at the time the class finishes.

• We recommend your child uses the toilet before every class, as children coming in and out of class to the toilet interrupts their learning in class.

• Should your child suffer from a medical condition, health issues and/or allergies, please inform us in writing.

• Please inform the tutor of any diagnosed or suspected additonal support needs (eg. autism, ADHD, dyslexia, global devleopmental delay etc..) so she can discuss your child's needs with you, and make a plan on how to best suppport your child in class. 

• In the event of class cancelation due to bad weather that would make it unsafe to travel to class, messages will be sent to all families to let them know.

• Should you decide to withdraw your child from classes, we request half a term’s notice in writing.

• The tutor is only responsible for children within the classroom during scheduled class hours, and it is your responsibility to ensure that your child is collected on time.

• We accept no liability for any loss or damage of possessions taken to class.

The tutor reserves the right to remove your child from class. We will notify you should this problem arise and removal of your child will only take place as a last resort after all other avenues of help & support have been given.

PAYMENT

• Payment for the term's classes must be made in advance of classes starting and all payments are non-refundable and class fees are subject to revision from time to time.

• Auto-enrolment will automatically sign your child up for the next term and the fees will be taken from your card before the start of term. Emails will be sent out before the end of the current term and an opt-out option will be available if your child will not be continuing the next term. Please also let you tutor know, as soon as possible, if your child will not to be continuing classes next term.

• If you can´t make a payment on time, please contact the tutor to let her know.

• Children’s activity books and audio materials are an integral part of the course and will be sold at the time of enrolment. Books and audio materials are sold as a non-refundable item. A joining fee of £18 is due for new school-age students when they enrol, to cover the book and music pack.

• A second/third sibling will receive a 50% discount on the book and audio material when the first child has bought a full price book.

• For baby & toddler classes, a joining fee of £20 is due on enrolment. This provides digital access to 2 CDs worth of music, our class mascot bear and a personalized prop bag. 

FREE TRIAL CLASS

• One free trial class is permitted per child, subject to availability.

IF WE NEED TO CHANGE CLASS

• In the unlikely event of "last minute" class time changes by us, we will notify you as much notice as possible. We will not reimburse any expenses caused by a customer failing to pick up their message.

• In the unlikely event of class cancellations by us, an extra class will be added onto the term, or carried over to the next term. If you are not returning next term, we will refund the class.

• If insufficient children are booked into your class, we reserve the right to cancel the class.

REFUND POLICY

• If your child is unable to attend a class due to sickness or holiday, we regret that we are unable to refund you as your registration and payment secures your place for the full term.

• If a customer chooses to not take part in a class which is taking place within standard operational conditions, they are not eligible for a refund or credit, subject to the tutor’s discretion.

COMPLAINTS PROCEDURE

We hope you are entirely happy and satisfied with our service. In the event that you are unhappy, please contact your tutor after class; in person, by telephone or email. We will always try to resolve the matter satisfactorily and quickly.

PHOTO AND VIDEO PERMISSION

Photos and videos taken in class may be used on social media/website or be sent to the class to use to practice songs/roleplays. By agreeing to the terms and conditions document, you agree that your child’s photo and video can be shared with the class and/or on social media.

If you do not wish your child’s photo to be shared, please contact your tutor directly so she can make sure that your child is not included in any photos or videos.

By agreeing to the terms and conditions, I confirm that:

• I give permission for my child’s photograph to be used on Social Media/Estrellas Brillantes website.

• I give permission for my child’s photograph to be used for promotional purposes.

• I give permission for the tutor to seek medical advice or provide treatment in an emergency

• I agree to support the tutor in encouraging my child to be respectful to the tutor and other children, and to behave well in class. 

• I agree for my contact details to be used to inform me of other relevant classes and services. I understand that I will be able to unsubscribe at any time. (Your contact details will not be passed to any third parties)

• I understand that online classes may replace face to face classes in the event that face to face classes are unable to run due to COVID-19

• I agree that I am fully responsible for my child if they are taking part in online classes

• I have read and understood the terms and conditions given to me and agree to comply with them fully.
